Happy Birthday Bella!

Happy Birthday to my beautiful African princess, Bella!  You are one of the greatest loves of my life, even though I have never held you or kissed your beautiful little face.  I so wish you were here with us, eating cake and making a delightful mess 🙂  I wonder how you would eat your 1st birthday cake…Would you be one that delicately dipped your tiny fingers into the frosting and cautiously tasted the sweet frosting?  Or would you be one to dig in, wholeheartedly, and get the gooey goodness on you from head to toe?  Or maybe something in between?  Since you are not here, I am praying that you are being loved and celebrated today by your caregivers.  Your first year of your life is being celebrated halfway across the world!  Happy birthday our little love!! We love you more than you can imagine!

I found a quote on Pinterest this past week that was one that I desperately needed.  When I read this, it felt that God spoke directly to my heart. “Don’t just pray about what seems logical and possible.  Pray HARD about the impossible.  God will show you that NOTHING, nothing, nothing, nothing is impossible with Him.  Ever. Period.  End of Story!”  My prayer all along is for us to travel in May.  I knew that it was a long shot because of the steps needed to take to get to that point.  There is now a slight possibility, but not necessarily a probability because of the wait of the passports and getting the Embassy visit scheduled. Our caseworker also said things slow down in DRC in the summer. This doesn’t seem “logical or possible” to be able to travel in May, but we are praying fervently that what seems impossible, will be possible so we can travel by the end of May.  I pray that you join us in this!!  Pray that the passports are issued quickly and that there are openings at the Embassy.    It would be absolutely wonderful to start out the summer with our family of 5!!
